Blue Grotto is another painting in my abstract series based on the observation of nature. As an ardent observer of nature, I am constantly amazed at the colors seen in most unexpected places. The series of abstract art stems from these observations but is an abstract expression of realism. It is very organic to me to use the colors left over from my painting pallete. Most of my abstracts are my imagination of something I have seen in real life with a bit of drama attached to it. I hope you will find your own inspiration from the expression of my art! Blue Grotto just happened! Here I see water falls over several rocks in a cave almost receding to the depths of darkness. I hope you can find your own interpretation of the painting and just enjoy it for what it depicts. A touch of red is some of the iron oxide showing through!

Dr. Hyacinth Paul is a retired scientist and Professor who recently started her career as an artist. Her works are both abstract and realistic, mostly done in oil, acrylics and mixed media. Her paintings are very colorful because she believes color sparks synesthesia and involuntarily evokes feelings of joy. Her paintings using the method of the old masters technique take several weeks to complete. Her abstracts are opinions and thoughts she is trying to communicate through her colorful canvas. She has just completed over 58 works in the 58th year of her life. Within the last year, Dr. Paul has exhibited in more than 10 solo/group exhibitions. She entered three juried shows as of last month and was accepted into a couple from which...
