Artist's Description
I am working on a series of Nebula's. This one has silver leaf and rhinestones in it and hence it is called "A Star is Born". The crystals add an additional twinkle to the painting. The silver leaf is meant to add shine and a little bit of sparkle. The stars depicted also have a cloud around some of them.
About Hyacinth Paul
Dr. Hyacinth Paul is a retired scientist and Professor who recently started her career as an artist. Her works are both abstract and realistic, mostly done in oil, acrylics and mixed media. Her paintings are very colorful because she believes color sparks synesthesia and involuntarily evokes feelings of joy. Her paintings using the method of the old masters technique take several weeks to complete. Her abstracts are opinions and thoughts she is trying to communicate through her colorful canvas. She has just completed over 58 works in the 58th year of her life. Within the last year, Dr. Paul has exhibited in more than 10 solo/group exhibitions.
