Artist's Description
Rhapsody in Blue is a series of paintings predominantly done in the color Blue. The Rhapsody in Blue II uses three colors Blue, Yellow and white to create this painting. I love the process of creating something pretty to look at and to decorate your space. I hope you will join me in my journey of art exploration by commenting on my paintings and letting me know what can be improved or what you like and don' t like about any piece of my art. In this particular piece I have used slightly different technique than in the previous painting Rhapsody in Blue I. It seriously looks better in person!
About Hyacinth Paul
Dr. Hyacinth Paul is a retired scientist and Professor who recently started her career as an artist. Her works are both abstract and realistic, mostly done in oil, acrylics and mixed media. Her paintings are very colorful because she believes color sparks synesthesia and involuntarily evokes feelings of joy. Her paintings using the method of the old masters technique take several weeks to complete. Her abstracts are opinions and thoughts she is trying to communicate through her colorful canvas. She has just completed over 58 works in the 58th year of her life. Within the last year, Dr. Paul has exhibited in more than 10 solo/group exhibitions.
